Day 1075

Operation Entebbe - 100 Israeli commandos fly 2500 miles from Israel to Uganda, storm in to an hijacked airplane and within 90 minutes, free all, but 1 hostage who was unfortunately killed, hostages and eliminate the hijackers.

December 20, 1978: Devendra Nath Pandey and Bhola Nath Pandey hijacked Indian Airlines flight IC-410. They demanded the immediate release of Indian National Congress party
leader Indira Gandhi who was imprisoned at that time on the charges of fraud and misconduct. Later, they were awarded with party tickets for this act by the Indira Gandhi government in 1980 such that Devendra Nath Pandey rose to become a minister in the government of most populous state of India, Uttar Pradesh.

Why am i mentioning all of this ?
Its all about Attitude.
Today, apparently, Ajmal Kasab was executed. What about the people who planned the attacks and all the 36 terrorist attacks in the last 10 years (Thats roughly one every 4 months) ?
Honestly, executing that guy, 4 years after he committed the crime, is not something that the justice system in India should be something that should be proud of.

Go on moral police, I dare you..I DOUBLE DARE YOU, to even think of instigating an arrest warrant for me.

I, so, wanted to catch the Juventus Vs Chelsea match on TV last night but persistent cough meant that i had to take some strong cough syrups and that induced drowsiness and i was fast asleep.

Juventus won and that means they have great probabilities of winning the Champions League.

Lionel Messi scored 2 goals in their match against Spartaks and proved, again, why he is the best footballer of this generation.

Its going to be another extremely long week at work and i am just hoping this time i complete all pending work by friday.
Lets see how that happens.

  1. let us not forget the crores of rupees spent on Kasab in these 4 years.

Best would have been to leave him at the mercy of Indian public after 26/11/2008.Result and execution would have been swift and instant without any wastage of time, effort, money.

    1. Seedha insaaf..tabatop...
      It looks good in Movies..
But yes, justice delayed is justice denied.
In the end, he was just a small, a very very small player, in a part of a very very big game.
The real perpetrators are sitting, as we all know, on the other side of the border.
I know for a fact, after speaking to many people in the army, that it wont take more than 1 day to get them to book. The All hat no cattle attitude of the people who have the power will do this country only harm.

    2. Oh you think Mumbai public would have left Qasab ?Justice would be on the spot operpowering him.Reality if you call it ,forget the movies.

  2. The city's public would have lynched him. But the point is, all of that looks good only in movies. Here the question is, should we be rejoicing his death ? He was just a pawn. Even after he was arrested, there were terror attacks. The root of this evil has to be destroyed.

    1. For the root of evil to be destroyed, mankind will have to come to an end.As long as mankind exists, root of evil exists. You have high expectations Milind.I am not rejoicing Qasab's death as its a political move.Create an issue and solve it just before 4 years.

    2. Perhaps it looks like my expectations are high. But there has to be a start to getting around it.

    3. Immature thinking. What you want is only possible with the end of mankind.Perhaps you will like living and staying in first world countries where such things happen much less.

    4. If the people in concern actually implemented what i said, the world would be a better place to live in. Yes, its maddening to think that evil should be destroyed from the root. Yes, i agree, that the world that we are living in, it only looks like this will happen when the entire mankind will end. And, pray, what makes you think that "First world countries" dont face these issues ? However in all of this, there is no harm in starting. And trust me , mankind WONT end if evil is destroyed. Because at the end of the day, it is just a case of a few evil people against the rest of the world.
