Day 1059

Its been a very very very hectic, last 4 days. But hopefully, there should be good coming out of all of it.
Work was routine, which isnt the state of elevation, but what can one do really? Saturday was extremely busy. I had a 7 AM shift. And was flooded with work. We also had an meeting in between so there was some relief. I had to be at a cousin's wife's Baby Shower function, and hence i had taken an early morning shift. Sadly i couldnt make it. Reason --> The incompetency of Indian Government. My housing society, thanks to my neighbour who is at a very high post in the State Government, had a campaign to get everyone an Aadhar Card. Now Aadhar is an Unique Identity Card which is meant for each and every Indian Citizen. This is very similar to the Social Security Card that a US resident has. Although, it is not mandatory, the government is actively promoting everyone to get it. So far so Good. The process is simple, One has to go to any such Aadhar Centre with a photocopy of a government approved Proof of Address and Proof of birth. The concerned person will take finger and thumb prints of both hands, eye scanner test, a digital photograph and your details. That will be entered in to the database and the Aadhar Card will be delivered, within 90 days. So ideally, shouldnt take more than 5 minutes to get a registration done for a single person. Right ? WRONG. When i came home at 4 PM and stood in the line, there were 11 people in front of me. Should have taken approximately 1 hour ? WRONG. Took me over 2 hours. And the people who were doing it WERE NOT at fault. It was the server and the machines used for Finger Printing. For a major part of the day, the server was down and when it was finally up and running, it was almost end of the day. And the finger print scanner was taking atleast 5-10 minutes for each person. This, happening in a country which is one of the world's largest Software Exporter and has the BEST IT brains in the world. And the whole exercise is the brainchild of one Mr Nandan Nilekani who was the CEO of Infosys which happens to be one of the world's most trusted and reputed IT companies. I was extremely tired by the time i got my registration done. I came home, freshened up a bit and then decided, with Scrooge, to go for a movie. We saw - Trouble with the curve. Its a Clint Eastwood movie which has got very limited release in the city. It was worth it. Although it was almost like a fairy tale but hats off to Clint Eastwood who can give any actor worth his/her worth a run for money. And I would go on extent of saying that one can easily watch this over Skyfall. After the movie, i called it a night as i had a morning flight to New Delhi.
Now one would ask why i wanted to go to New Delhi on a Sunday Morning ? Well, i will not answer that question. When the time is right, the answer will be revealed. A handful of people know the reason and all i can say to others, and maybe people who wish well for me, that, please pray that for whatever reason i had gone to the Capital, that mission becomes successful. Off late i have been getting lot of sudden premonitions. It means that whenever i, out of the blues, think of something, it happens. For eg - Randomly, my office colleague and me were talking about the incompetency of LIC of India on Thursday while watching the movie, and suddenly, after the movie, he gets a call from someone who had issues with paying LIC premium. On Sunday night when i was having dinner, i was thinking about the same friend and wanted to know the schedule for Office Work for Monday and voila, he calls up. In Delhi, there was a major chaos due to some unwarranted Political Rally, and i was thinking, i may just get the flight at the last moment. And it happened like that, while returning to the airport on Sunday evening, i just managed to reach the Airline counter 5 minutes before it was getting Shut and managed to board the flight on the final call. A few weeks back i was talking to a friend, in my car, about the crazy traffic situation and how an emergency vehicle like an Ambulance will also not be able to get the right of way in the mad traffic. And 2-3 minutes after i spoke, an Ambulance siren was heard and as expected, it was hell for it to get the right of way.
Why am i writing all of this ? Its simple. Earlier there were premonitions and now its almost ESP. Keep in mind, mostly it WONT work if it is thought consciously. But it will work if its just a random thought or its there somewhere in your subconscious.
Since i have been practicing small bouts of meditations every night before i go to sleep, i have strong reasons to believe that this would help enhance this feature.
I also know that genuine good wishes from genuine well wishers also help. So for some of you who read this blog, i again, humbly request you to pray well for me. And to pray that by this year end, things should work out well.
.Monday morning i woke up at ease due to the lack of sleep in the last few days. Tomorrow i have to reach office pretty early as i have a lot of stuff to attend. This week and the next week promises to be very hectic. But there will always be time to attend any issues which override office work.
And before i end this blog..

Remember, remember!
The fifth of November,
The Gunpowder treason and plot;
I know of no reason
Why the Gunpowder treason
Should ever be forgot!
Guy Fawkes and his companions
Did the scheme contrive,
To blow the King and Parliament
All up alive.
Threescore barrels, laid below,
To prove old England's overthrow.
But, by God's providence, him they catch,
With a dark lantern, lighting a match!
A stick and a stake
For King James's sake!
If you won't give me one,
I'll take two,
The better for me,
And the worse for you.
A rope, a rope, to hang the Pope,
A penn'orth of cheese to choke him,
A pint of beer to wash it down,
And a jolly good fire to burn him.
Holloa, boys! holloa, boys! make the bells ring!
Holloa, boys! holloa boys! God save the King!
Hip, hip, hooor-r-r-ray!
