Day 651

Its been a real tiring week. Sunday was the last day i had a proper sleep. I woked up at ease and skipped breakfast and lunch. The reason --> I was meeting with the 2 musketeers after many days and we had plans to meet in a nice south bombay pub and chill. So i spent a part of the afternoon watching Water For Elephants. A typical cliched movie with great acting from Christopher Waltz. Then went to the Sports Bar and had lots to drink and lots to eat. Of course with a lot to drink, i was visibly high but fortunately did not do anything, not worthy being printed :)

I came home and was very tired and just wanted to crash to bed. But as it often happens with me, if i am too tired, i cant sleep. Somehow i managed to get sleep by 2 AM. Next day i had to click a few pictures for a Visa application and finish a few paper work for that as well. Work was routine I came home very tired but had to sit till 3 AM to finish the last leg of my paperwork for Visa process. I tried, multiple times, to fill the form online but it just wouldnt work so i gave up and printed the form (After much tries as my printer cartridge was on life support).
I still had a couple of more print outs left and i thought i would go to a cyber cafe and do it in the morning.
Little did i realize that the nearest cyber cafe, even though it was open, didnt have anyone who could help me take a printout till 9 AM and i had to reach the consulate at by 8 AM so i could finish my stuff fast.
I came back home and somehow managed to squeeze out the last 2 printouts from the printer and rushed to the German Consulate.
I thought i would finish my work fast and come home since i reached at 8:30 am and they have a first come first serve policy.
Boy was i wrong again, there was a huge queue of people and i had to wait atleast 45 minutes in the queue to get inside and another 60 minutes inside till my interview call came.
I was surprised that there were so many people who wanted to visit Germany and there were very very very few people who had come for tourist purpose. My guess was, even then, all of them got the visas.
After that i had to collect a cell phone loaned to a friend's mum when she had come down to India.
I came home, weary. And i had lunch and just went to the bathroom and crashed. LOL.
I had a 30 minute nap and then went back to office. I was not at my productive best and i was dying to come home and sleep.
Somehow i managed to survive the day and came home and saw a documentary - Senna (A must see for all F1 fans) and slept.
Again had to wake at 8 AM to book a tatkal (fast track) railway ticket as the booking stated at 8 AM sharp and i didnt want to miss out on not getting the tickets.(More on that, hopefully, in my coming blogs).
I couldnt get any sleep so i decided to read newspapers and surf the net. Had a very early lunch and then rushed back to the German Consulate to get the Passport with the Visa.
Again i had to stand in a huge line, but fortunately only for 25 minutes and then got the passport in another 20 minutes. Came home, relaxed and went back to work.
Somehow the lack of sleep is affecting my mind big time.
I dont know where i am leaving my keys. I had the car keys in my pocket all the time and i was under the assumption that i had forgotten it in the car while coming back home from work. Little did i realise that the keys i saw inside the car were actually of my post box. Grrrr.
Well, thats enough from me. My bed is calling me and now i must go and take a much needed rest.

And yes, i havent forgotten the poem for my loved one...

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.
I love thee to the depth and breadth and height
My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight
For the ends of Being and ideal Grace.
I love thee to the level of everyday's
Most quiet need, by sun and candlelight.
I love thee freely, as men strive for Right;
I love thee purely, as they turn from Praise.
I love thee with passion put to use
In my old griefs, and with my childhood's faith.
