Day 619

Its been one of the most busiest weeks of the year. From last saturday till today, its been filled with paper work, running around, chaos at office, less sleep, movies and catching up on sleep. I will try to cover all of this. Last Sunday was spent in sleeping for most parts of the day because of an equally grueling week. In the evening caught up with a friend's fiancee and their family for a nice chinese dinner at China Gate. Must have had chinese food after months. After that went to a friend's place who is computer-handicapped(for a lack of better phrase) and helped him narrow down searches for a trip to Hong Kong and Macau that he will be going this Diwali. Monday to Friday was mayhem. Although it was independence day on Monday, i still had to go to work(Some of the hazzards of working in a KPO). And i thought i would sleep till late but was awakened when a close friend called and wanted to meet me urgently. I would not like to go in the details of the reason he wanted to meet me, but i can say that he was disturbed. I can, however, say that he is, more or less, going through an equal trying time in his personal life and at times like this, the only person who would understand the plight would be someone going through the same or similar phase. We met. After nearly 1 year but since we were constantly in touch via phone for the last few months, we had not completely lost touch. We spoke and are working towards a solution which would, hopefully be something we want. Its said that at times, the end justifies the means. Well, i hope whatever happens, we get a positive result. So mostly, a part of the week was spent giving him support. Also managed to see a couple of movies. Saw Autopsy of an Alien on DVD(Nice low budget Brit Comedy Movie) and a remake of Fright Night in 3D last night(just about ok but hate 3d). Yesterday, for the first time, we had some chaos in office. For the first time, i felt the effects of, what we call, Office Politics. How issues which are trivial and really, nothing to be concerned about, can be used against you. Seems like no work place is without its share of office politics and the smaller the workplace, the more visible it will be. I have decided, going forward, no more taking initiatives. No more trying do something better and faster. Just come. Do your allocated work. Give 100% dedication, no compromise on that and then get lost. As they say in the streets of the city, "Yeda ban ke peda khaaney kha.". Which loosely means, ignorance is bliss. Today was very tiring. Scrooge and me had to rush to 3 places. One to get the Visa Fees paid at a bank(More detail on that in the next few weeks), then had to pay the LIC premiums and then had to visit the CA's office as there were some clarifications required for some of mum's and my accounts. Spent nearly 2 hours and then without having lunch, had to rush to office. Just had a couple of Wada Paavs on the way. And since i reached nearly 1 hour late, its very likely that i will be marked half day present. I wish i had taken it easy and gone a bit more late. But, i will not deter from the fact that come what may, i will give 100% dedication at work. And the proof of that was that even though i was an hour late, i still managed to complete 85% of my working hours and gave, an even better, performance at work. And hence, we had a Saturday Night Dinner Party at office. Amazing Paav-Bhaaji. Its also been irritating while commuting. For the last couple of days, my car is in my office compound because the damn ignition wont work despite the key being inserted. And with a long holiday weekend(not for me but for others) its going to be tuesday till i get a resolution for the query.
And now i am home and longing to go to bed. But not without updating my blog and definitely not without a shower.
And of course...not without an ode for my beloved!!!

Love is enough: though the world be a-waning,
And the woods have no voice but the voice of complaining,
Though the skies be too dark for dim eyes to discover
The gold-cups and daisies fair blooming thereunder,
Though the hills be held shadows, and the sea a dark wonder,
And this day draw a veil over all deeds passed over,
Yet their hands shall not tremble, their feet shall not falter:
The void shall not weary, the fear shall not alter
These lips and these eyes of the loved and the lover.
