Day 607

I am back. Before i begin, a sincere and heartfelt apology to my very good friend Avanti Burde Pandit. I wanted to write the blog yesterday but was too tired. It was the same ol' case..Spirit was willing but the flesh was weak. I would say this week has been very tiring. As the days go, my work is getting more challenging and even if my reporting manager doesnt say(And he is a very kind hearted person), there will always be deadlines that have to be met. Not that anyone will get in trouble but his policy has always been to do things much before time. And with me and a colleague getting more challenging task, in terms of analysis, its all a race against time and with us having to rake our grey cells and not just do simple copy-paste stuff. So as Charlie Sheen says "Born Small. Now Huge. Unemployed winner. Bring it on!!!"\
So wednesday to Saturday, all i did was work, work, work and work. On friday after work, i had to come home, change and go to the airport to receive a friend's Fiancee, folks and mom in law. The flight had landed at 1 AM but by the time they came out it was nearly 2:15 AM. It was good to meet them, specially my friend's mom who has been my school teacher (And an extremely strict one at that teaching the most dreaded Science and Maths in Junior High). With lots of luggage, we managed to book a cab and some of it in my car and then went to another friend's house back in town where they would be staying. I had met my friend's fiancee for the 1st time but we got along like house on fire. Its great to meet like minded people. So by the time i came home and went to bed and got some sleep, it was 5 AM. I got up at 9 AM and then couldnt get much sleep. Was very tired when i went to office, but somehow i survived the day. Not only did i manage to finish 90% of my scheduled work(Which i thought would stretch till Monday evening) but we also had a little Saturday Night Dinner Party as well. Was absolutely famished by the time i came home but still couldnt get sleep. Slept by 2:30 and woke up at 8:30 AM today. Had to visit my mum's uncle house to discuss some legal matters. After that, we had a big family get together where all my cousins, uncles and aunts met for lunch. It was the first time in many many months that we met and it was an annual "Pasli". For those who came in late, Pasli is a traditional Gujarati Lunch cumm family get together which is usually held a week or so before "Raksha Bandhan"(Google that to find out more. I guess there were atleast 50 of us(Including nephews and neices). I am a reserved person so i did what i do the best. Just say Hi/Hello, have lunch and get lost. Came home and then just conked off to sleep. After many days i had a nice afternoon sleep for a few hours. Evening was spent in helping Scrooge clear the mess which was there in my room and mum's room and after ages my house is not looking as it it was a yard sale. In the night, met my friend;s fiancee and gave her a mobile phone which works. The one i gave her on Saturday early morning couldnt get charged(Damn Samsung). Then went for a drive with a close friend. Had some grub at Kamat's and then some hot chocolate at Cafe Coffee Day. Was fun. And now i am home and updating this blog. This week, again, promises to be full of work at office, paper work back home and some legal matters to be finalised. All of having hope against hope and having a spirit of not saying its over until its over.

And of course, for my sweet heart.....

Let me not to the marriage of true minds
Admit impediments. Love is not love
Which alters when it alteration finds,
Or bends with the remover to remove:
O no! it is an ever-fixed mark
That looks on tempests and is never shaken;
It is the star to every wandering bark,
Whose worth's unknown, although his height be taken.
Love's not Time's fool, though rosy lips and cheeks
Within his bending sickle's compass come:
Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks,
But bears it out even to the edge of doom.
   If this be error and upon me proved,
   I never writ, nor no man ever loved.
