day 539

And FC Barcelona did it....3 times in last 5 years..once again UEFA champion's league winners...the usual suspects..David Villa and Lionel Messi scored when it mattered the most..take a bow guys...So by the time i slept last night it was nearly 3 AM. And i had to wake very early for a sunday. 7:45 AM as i had to go to an uncle's house to discuss some of mum's paper work. But woke up at 8:30(Still early by sunday standards) and managed to reach there by 9:45..in between the car had a break down and the car battery conked off. Somehow, scrooge and me managed to reach and park the car. While coming back home, again, the car got conked, but nothing a good push cant work. Somehow we managed to bring the car back home and being sunday, none of the auto repair shops were opened. Decided to call Bat Mobile. Now this is a relatively new concept started by Exide Batteries in India. There will be a few service vans located all over the city at strategic locations. And any time your car battery runs out, just call the helpline number and the service van will come and start the car(give it a jump start) and all for free. And this, even though your car may not have an exide battery. Not a bad deal at all. And its a good company marketing strategy. A win win situation for all.
The mechanic advised me to get the alternator repaired, then the battery replaced and not to take the car out till thats done. So in the afternoon, as i had to meet a friend in the far off suburbs, i had to take a cab. And in all of this, in the last 24 hours, i had a shower 4 times and a change of clothes 4 times as well. Its so, fucking hot, humid, polluted and dirty here. This is the most i have had a bath in a single day, since the day i was born. After meeting the friend and spending close to 3 and a half hours talking about a variety of topics(and dont worry...this was not a date or me spending time with a girl..)...i came home..since Scrooge had gone out for a wedding...i was alone and decided to gorge upon some yummy paneer and mushroom rolls for dinner...surfed some tv...listened to some music..and here i am updating my blog..chatting with a couple of friends..and in a while i will go to sleep. Its been a very tiring weekend and hopefully i will get to sleep till late tomorrow. And hopefully, work will pass through smoothly as well.

And here's the poem for my beloved....

I have loved flowers that fade,
Within whose magic tents
Rich hues have marriage made
With sweet unmemoried scents:
A honeymoon delight,
A joy of love at sight,
That ages in an hour
My song be like a flower!.

I have loved airs that die
Before their charm is writ
Along a liquid sky
Trembling to welcome it.
Notes, that with pulse of fire
Proclaim the spirit's desire,
Then die, and are nowhere
My song be like an air!.

Die, song, die like a breath,
And wither as a bloom;
Fear not a flowery death,
Dread not an airy tomb!
Fly with delight, fly hence!
'Twas thine love's tender sense
To feast; now on thy bier
Beauty shall shed a tear.
