Day 532

This has been an interesting week. Friday, what i thought, would be a routine day, was a day when i felt unusually tired. I had some pending paper work to do for mum's accounts so i was kinda trying to get that done. When i came home, i was unusually tired and decided to rest. I, out of the blues, decided to measure my blood pressure. And, not surprisingly, it was very high. 160/90. An alarmingly high count by any standards. The prime reason for that, was the stress that was taken due to the events that had taken place over the last few days. So i immediately took my medicines and decided to rest for a while before going to work. I also had a decent lunch so that i could concentrate on my work better. Honestly, i was in no mood to go to work, but i decided to go against my mood and report nevertheless, least i get in to the, wandering thinking mood if i stay at home. Fortunately work was routine and i was so engrossed that i didnt realise how time flied. It was also an unusual day because a large part of the day was spent eating. In the evening i had 4 samosas. In the night, for dinner, along with the regular stuff, the guys at office decided, impromptu, to order for pizzas. So i had pizzas as well. A heavy dinner by all standards. I came home and ate some lindt chocolates. Still, somehow i felt a bit hungry. But i decided to give it a stop. Saw a hindi movie after ages. Undertrial. Its a 3-4 year old under rated movie. I liked it, although it had poor production values but superb acting by a very under rated actor, Rajpal Yadav. Woke up at ease in the morning. Went to the gym in the afternoon(Since i had a day off fortunately) and in the evening, went with the fat guy and avataar baba to see The pirates of the Caribbean - 4. A typical movie of the very popular pirates franchisee. We had our share of jokes and pulling legs. Had a nice dinner at Le Cafe in Chembur and then i headed home. By the time i got some sleep, it was nearly 3 AM. Woke up, relatively early, for Sunday at 10 AM and had to rush for a meeting along with Scrooge at one of mum's property for some redevelopment issue. The meeting lasted till 2 PM, and i didnt even have any lunch. Met up grandpa, whose birthday we missed on Friday and he was pleasantly happy to see us. Rushed home and met another person to start a process to complete some of mum's stock holdings paperwork. Was a real busy busy sunday. In the afternoon, Scrooge and i decided to buy new mobile phone for ourselves. Must be the umpteenth phone for him and for me it was 9th phone in 11 years. The last 6(including the current one) being Nokia. After a lot of research(which took nearly 5 months), ended up buying the Nokia E7. It was coming out of the usual nokia comfort zone because it is a QWERTY  keypad cum touch screen phone and that is something i had always found extremely difficult to use. But, i had to learn this technology because in the years to come, touchscreen, more than anything else, will be the technology most of us will have to switch to. The process, is, to minimise, as many mechanical transactions as possible. The day wont be far when we will have plasma touch screen technology for mobile phones. Now the biggest challenge i am facing is to transfer contacts from my old nokia n86. And somehow the Nokia E7 has been showing since i bought the phone, that cant access phone memory and its been corrupt. Grrr. Even after resetting factory settings. So if anyone can help me, would me much obliged. Anyways, so while i came back, i met up with an old friend over the net. We decided to catch up for some light dinner in the night and it was good catching up after quite a few months. Came back home by 10 and was just surfing the net and trying to get a hang of the nokia e7. Well thats all that i gotta write for the day.
Before i end, as usual, a poem for my loved one...

I ask for a moment's indulgence to sit by thy side. The works
that I have in hand I will finish afterwards.

Away from the sight of thy face my heart knows no rest nor respite,
and my work becomes an endless toil in a shoreless sea of toil.

Today the summer has come at my window with its sighs and murmurs; and
the bees are plying their minstrelsy at the court of the flowering grove.

Now it is time to sit quite, face to face with thee, and to sing
dedication of life in this silent and overflowing leisure.
