Day 384

It was a nice Sunday.Woke up at around 10. Read the sunday papers. Surfed the nets. The 3 musketeers decided to see a movie at IMAX in the afternoon - The Tourist. Really routine fare fare for those who have seen tons of English Movies. But amazingly shot and somehow, movies which are set in and around europe have a charm of its own. We decided to have pizza after the movie and went to this new joint - The California Pizza Kitchen at BKC. A wonderful authentic italian restaurant with amazing pizzas. It is on the expensive side, but once in a while, i dont mind spending that much money on quality food. We had some good time out there. Coming back home, the fat guy decided to go for a drive to New Bombay because he didnt wanna go home as there was a religious ritual going on which he didnt want to attend. So we went as far as Kharghar and took the route to my college. Boy has the college campus changed and it looks massive with the outlook of the college changed big time. I was pleasantly shocked to see that a place which was in the middle of mountains with absolutely no sight of people was now surrounded by buildings and looked like a different city all together. Avatar Baba and me got nostalgic about college days (We were in the same college but different divisions) and about some common chick, which, half the college had crush on. Aaaah....those, indeed, were the days. The fat guy was irritated because he couldnt relate to more than half the things we said, but he was too tired to say anything.
Coming back home, the traffic was bad. But its usually like this on Sunday. And at times, i share the same feelings as that of Avatar Baba - Blast all the cars in a random parking lot. Boy, there are just too many people in the city. With a population of over 11 million people, the city is now up to its nose and i dont think there is space or infrastructure for any more immigrants.
Anyways, unless some radical changes happen with our laws and constitution, some things, we will have to live with.
Coming back home, i didnt want to sleep unless i finished my blog. And i will ensure i will write this blog every day. It becomes very critical that i pen my thoughts every day.
I may not be able to express them verbally but its better to write them out than to suppress them.

And as i part, another ode for someone i still and forever love ..
Although the end of this ode is something i will only hope comes true.....its still dedicated to that someone so special...

A magic moment I remember:
I raised my eyes and you were there,
A fleeting vision, the quintessence
Of all that's beautiful and rare.

I pray to mute despair and anguish,
To vain pursuits the world esteems,
Long did I near your soothing accents,
Long did your features haunt my dreams.

Time passed. A rebel storm-blast scattered
The reveries that once were mine
And I forgot your soothing accents,
Your features gracefully divine.

In dark days of enforced retirement
I gazed upon grey skies above
With no ideals to inspire me,
No one to cry for, live for, love.

Then came a moment of renaissance,
I looked up - you again are there,
A fleeting vision, the quintessence
Of all that`s beautiful and rare.

Good night!!!
